Constraints

What is your constraint?

We all have constraints; if not we would already have everything we want.  So the question is: What is your personal constraint?

I have developed a customized course: The 4 Phases to Thriving!

This course reveals 16 key concepts, critical success factors, that separate Thrivers from survivors.

Concepts like the various aspects of your purpose, and how you communicate your purpose.  Then onto how you fund your purpose, and how you build a team to help you achieve your purpose.

Often people spend lots of time and effort "working" on things that aren't constraining them.

Working hard isn't the goal.   Working hard only helps you achieve if you are working hard on the right things.

Often talented people work really hard and don't get ahead.  They are like a hamster running on it's wheel.   Lots of activity, but not any real progress.

If you want to get ahead professionally you want to find out what is your constraint, and apply yourself to progressing, learning, in that area.

I can help you do it.

These resources are here to help you!

About Rick & Thriving Audiology

Richard Poage, MBA, created Thriving Audiology in 2004 to help Audiologists and their teams create a professional environment for themselves where they can Thrive, not just survive.

As a business coach Rick has dedicated the rest of his professional life to helping talented professionals understand the business, professional relationship, and organizational issues, required for professional success. He does this with workshops, seminars, and individual professional coaching.

The first time you performed a hearing evaluation someone spent time prior to the evaluation explaining the theory’s you would be using and then talked you through how to perform the evaluation. Then afterward gave you feedback on your performance. Business and organization skills are best learned in the same way, unfortunately many Audiologists have never had anyone with a real business background actually explain to them how to best proceed with business decisions. Or explain to them why things they do work, or don’t work.

Rick has been blessed with a wealth of experience in his 25+ years of working in professional service organizations. In addition to owning his own businesses he has worked with Physicians, Attorneys, Engineers, Audiologists, and other health care providers. He has worked with publicly traded companies and one person businesses. In each case was able to experience, see and understand, what caused organizations to thrive, or just survive.

Rick graduated from Oregon State University in 1980 with degrees in Business Administration and Horticulture. After selling a Florist and Nursery he started Rick returned to school and completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 1985, also at Oregon State University. His particular interest was and is organizational behavior and design.

Rick has a wife of 30+ years, Diane, who is dually certified in Speech Language and Audiology. They have two children, Rochelle age 10 and Nicholas age 8.

Rick is an affiliate member of AAA (American Academy of Audiology), and ADA (Academy of Doctors of Audiology).
